Austinites! Insurance help!!
Hey guys,
finally decided to move my insurance over from Florida and the Austin office says in that doing so, my rates will rise $800!!! to a total of 1800 bucks for 6 months! No way Austin is so much different from Orlando, Florida!!! I'm tellin 'em that unless they figure something out I'm going to tell them to shove it.... So.. can you guys recommend some good insurance companies/agents? Thanks, much appreciated ... -Doug ps. and to boot i have a spotless drivin record....

Something I posted on another thread
Hey guys (and gals),
I work for an insurance brokerage (ABD Insurance and Financial Services - largest privately owned insurance brokerage on the West Coast, but we cover the whole country) and I might be able to get you a deal. Basically, ABD is a brokerage. They will make recomendations on ploicies and can sell you the policy also. They sell insurance from all the big insurance carriers (Safeco, Progressive, CHUBB, Hartford, Fireman's Fund, AIG, etc.) so we can look up rates from lots of different companies. I don't actually sell insurance and don't know anything about the industry, but I am only paying $700 for 6 months and I have a pretty big speeding ticket on my record. Give a call. ASK FOR THE "PERSONAL LINES" DEPARTMENT. It couldn't hurt. Make sure you tell them Ryan Horikoshi referred you. Ryan Horikoshi Systems Administrator ABD Insurance and Financial Services (800) 542-7676 http://www.cybersure.com/index.htm or http://www.abdi.com Make sure you tell them Ryan Horikoshi referred you!!! There are a lot of little loop holes in the insurance world. Oh, also if you consolidate policies (life, multiple autos, home, etc.) with one company, rates go down a LOT. Don't know if anyone mentioned this already... Oh, and I think that you don't have to be at policy end to change coverages either. I THINK you can get your existing policy canceled and get refunded the unused time. Just an idea for those of you who think you are paying too much right now. Good Luck... |

Try Paul Spell agency, they are on Bee Caves and are a Nationwide agent. Got a really nice deal on my WRX through them.
