'05 LGT - Stage 2

Default So my OBD port doesn't work...

To make a long story short, I bought the STi w/ 500 miles from a dealer The car appeared to be bone stock. Well I'm up to 65k miles now have had some issues with rough idle and hesitation at WOT. Seems to be fuel/ignition related and had a CEL go, so I bring it over to the dealership and they can't read the codes. The OBD port does not work the scanner tool doesn't get any power, etc.

From what the dealership said and looking under the steering column now it looks like something had been done there previously, they seemed to think it was some form of engine management on it, but I'm not sure. There is one yellow female connector under there with nothing connected to it that is not stock.

So I'm bringing it to a specialty shop tomorrow that has wiring diagrams, etc to see if they can see what is going on or recognize what was done previously.

Are there any older or non UTEC/AP EM systems that involve wiring down there? My only other thought was some type of security system wiring that he then removed.

Would it be reasonable to contact the dealer and see if they have the original owner info? Would they be able to give that to me?

Security device, maybe (as you already stated).

Or maybe the car had a turbo timer on it at some point.
