Default Anybody with an 15+ STI and muffler delete in the greater Phoenix area?

I've been mulling over a muffler delete for my STI. I've listened to all kinds of sound clips online, even through studio reference speakers, and I love the way it sounds. However, none of that really gives an idea of actual volume (dB) level when you're standing next to the car. I have been trolling the Scottsdale Pavillions car show trying to find another STI owner with a muffler delete so I can hear it in person before I decide.

Problem is, I live in a condo complex, and I leave pretty early in the morning most days and I'm trying to avoid pissing off my neighbors (or the HOA). I'm ok with keeping the revs down on my way out, but if it rattles windows on startup or at idle, well... I don't want to take the chance of somebody getting angry and keying my car or something.

I don't have an STI, but I made a straight through muffler and it isn't so bad. A bit drone-y, but days of road trip are still bearable. Also, I'm not in PHX, but up in Prescott.

Thanks for the response. I actually just went ahead and got it. I guess if it's too loud you might see it in the for sale forum soon haha!

I got the subispeed one with the black flat carbon fiber tips.

Cool. I hope it works out.

Do you have it mounted yet? Sounds nice?

Taking delivery next week. I have a sound engineer friend coming next Monday to "professionally" record the exhaust sound (with real microphones) as well as record db levels before I do the install. There will be an after recording as well. I will post them on Youtube or something after I edit them all together.

Yes, I am a nerd.

I am going to try to get it installed before Saturday so I can go to the pavilions but we'll see. I've seen a group of STIs rolling up in there on occasion but usually its a pretty poor showing for the scoobies. Its been mostly mustangs, camaros, challengers, and vettes lately. A group of rocket bunny style GT-Rs showed up last time, and there was some random imports but not much otherwise.
