Default perrin shifter bushings

Just installed these 2 days ago and have noticed a rattling noise when in 4th gear. Sounds as if the center consule around the shifter were loose and vibrating or shaking? Install was easy and straightforward... I'm thinking it's just a little added NVH to my old '02 wrx (also have a B&M shifter) or the bushings need to be tightened more. I have read not to over tighten them since they only require 13-15 foot pounds of torque but I just tightened them until it would no longer tighten.... I don't think I could have messed up the install as the bushings only go in one way. Maybe linkage not aligned properly? Thoughts or similar experiences????

Edit - It sounds as if a plastic bag were crinkling if that makes any sense... but thats what it really sounds like. Also, this is a rebuil tranny with ra gears by a Subaru Tech. I've had it for 2 years now and it rasps when shifting out of 5th and sometimes into first. Sounds like sand were in it.... qqqueeek

my guess is the B&M shifter. since you have hardnened bushings in there now ( not sure what durometer the perrin one, i'm guessing the same as ours our close) that is now making the needle bearings in the shifter rattle around. This is one of the main reasons why we did not go that route. You might be able to help it by packing the center pivot full of heavy grease to keep the bearings quiet.
