Default Wrx downpipe direct bolt on to 91ss?

Is a wrx downpipe a direct replacement for the legacy turbo downpipe?

If its anything like the 93SS then the entire exhaust is nearly the same as the 04 WRX(I think thats the year I got), atleast in terms of bends and maybe the hangers.

The WRX exhaust has 2 peices (One for each of the 2 cats after right after the turbo) where the 93SS has 1 peice IIRC.

When doing my swap, I had the full 04 WRX exhaust next to the 93SS exhaust and they looks the exact same as far as I could tell.

And the 04 WRX exhaust matched up perfectly at every point with my 95L except for the one hanger at the back of the muffler.

Sorry, I know its not the definite answer you are looking for.

The answer is NO. The SS downpipe is +/-3" longer than a WRX downpipe. If you get an aftermarket replacement pipe you will need to lengthen either the DP or the midpipe...
