I heard Ecutek dropped their license fees. So if price was an issue for not going ecutek you may want to revist that.

You'd have to go to a ecutek tuner/vendor. The ecutek license fee used to be 700 dollars and I think they dropped it to 150.

Go to Enginuity.org and see if they have posted a ECU definition for the '07 STI yet. You would then need the Enginuity software (free) and a Tactrix cable ($79 from Tactrix.com), WBO2, EGT, etc.

I just checked the website and this is there response:

http://www.enginuity.org/about1201.html

07 USDM STI

No one has successfully flashed these cars, so I haven't been working on verifying the test definitions that were released. I won't mess with these until I know for sure you can flash these cars. Note, that the 07 wrx (and likely FXT) CAN be flashed so this issue does NOT apply to these roms (also the 07 non-usdm models might be "exempt" from the issue as well).

There are some preliminary Enginuity definitions for the only 07 sti rom that I've seen posted anywhere (from a limited). I've never heard of anyone successfully flashing an 07 sti with Ecuflash, therefore the response above.
