Default 2004 ECU compatible with 2005 car?

I'm looking for an extra ECU to get a I-speed reflash.
Someone's offering me an ECU from a 2004 automatic Impreza TS: will it work in my 2005 manual Impreza RS?

Thanks!

^^^Is that english?!

Anyway, I am not too sure about the N/A models. I do know that on the 04 and 05 WRXs they have a seperate ECU for the manual and automatic versions and they aren't swappable.

Also, IIRC the 04 Imprezas were Cable Throttle vehicles while in 2005 the non-turbo Impreza's changed to Drive-by-wire. If this is true then they are definitely not swappable.
