Default 06 Stock IAM rising

Vishnu aint got nothin on my reset trick!

Nah the 06 WRXs seem to like to raise up to 1 pretty quick (in .25 steps). Quick as 5 miles of driving quick and full throttle only in 2nd gear. I have the logs.

5 miles? My 02 wrx can do it in about 30 seconds of part-throttle boost.

16 bit ECUs have an IAM of 1-16.

32 bit ECUs use a float value which is a direct multiplier to the DA (or KC if you wanna call it that) with a max of 1. So your DA value becomes simply IAMxDA(or KC).

1 on the 32 bit ECUs is the same idea as hitting 16 on the 16 bit ECUs. The 32 bit ECU also has a wider range of knock it can control with fine ignition learning as opposed to the 16 bit ECU.

I live about 1.2 miles from the freeway onramp for the daily work commute and mine has usually found 16 by then after a morning reflash (mapped to 12).

Interesting. Its funny how the whole "over several days of driving" IAM will rise. It seems even on the 16 bit ECUs it rises quite fast. What was the point of the vishnu reset again? Oh wait, you can do that on the dyno and save some time.
