I didn't want to be the one to start something important as the Boise thread...

Is Bogus open yet?

no kidding, I feel very special now.

I still need to do the Legacy struts this sunday, regardless if we do your struts or not.

BTW, anyone know of a cheap place to get struts?

I'd think Les Schwab or Big-O.

We may not have to do the legacy this weekend. I am not sure if they will have the replacement struts in my then. We will see how fast NAPA really is.

I jumped a car once. It doesn't really happen like it does in the movies. I *almost* caught air, but as soon as the back went up the hill, the front crashed down and bent the frame.

Stupid high school tricks.

I think everyone got lazy, or busy or something. The Boise group has kind of lost some steam with the snow fall.

I got info on a new present, so if anyone knows where I can get a double din mount for an AFC and 3 guages, please let me know.

Yeah i've been a bit quiet and somewhat hidden as of late. Been busy at work and christmas stuff. If I don't go snowboarding sunday I can help if you are working on something.

You torque everything to 275 ft-lbs right? I talked to my friend and he informed me that he'd found out that his torque wrench was screwed up....said he'd forgotten we'd used it...heh.

Anyone out there headed to Bogus this weekend? I really need a partner to learn the mountain. Was sick all of last weekend so Saturday will be my maiden voyage.

So are we working on anything on Sunday? I dont think the legacy stuff will be in, but I will check today.

Jaxx,
are we doing your suspension?

more update: I am about 4 wrench turns from breaking the head gasket seal on the talon. I should know by this weekend if the project is going to the recycler or not. If the engine is toast, which it may be, I am not going to waste the money putting it together again.

If anyone knows where I can get a "cheap" SAFC, please let me know. The deal that I was working on was stolen last night from the auto repair shop.

I'll see what I can scrounge up. BTW apparently the treasurer of the local SCCA chapter works here now. Mike something, think i'll go have a talk with him.

That Vinshu Stage 0 is sounding better by the minute.

Jeff,
The talon might be toast? NOOOOOO!! Say it isn't so. What's the deal with that? Now don't you wished I could have talked you into cracking that baby open before you put all that time into tearing the inside apart? That truely is a bummer.

Here are the reasons I am worried about the engine condition.

"welded closed" waste gate flapper
~40 degrees advance on crank timing.
the shear amount of oil in the intake manilfold and IC.

I will let you all know.

I'll be there on Tuesday the 18th, maybe a day later.

Don't change your plans yet because of me. Shiv said he's shipped my junk, but I don't think he's charged my card yet, so I'm not sure when it'll be here. I'll keep ya updated to try not to mess with your plans too much.

My dms 40's just shipped today... maybe I'll bring them to Idaho to install
