Default 48hrs: Meets and Crash Space

Now that Andy and I have nailed down the dates for Jan 11-13, we need your help! In order for this to come together we need to arrange meets and we'll also need some crash space in DE on friday night and Rochester on sat night. Please contact either Andy or myself off-line (e-mail, PM, phone) if want to arrange a meet in your town along the route or have crash space for us. Thanks in advance for your help in making this a successful run. Also start getting sponsors so we can raise $ for the WTC victims. I want to set a goal of $1000 as a group to donate.

I think i may actually be able to do the run after all. I may have crash space in Newark but only for about 1 to 2 guys.

NOSAABS is putting people up in Newark, DE and I have a few more spots that I can crash there too. I'm more concerned with Rochester than Newark at this point.

Question I may be interested in this..:-)

This sounds like a fun drive for a good cause. I was wondering if someone could explain to me exactly how the sponsorship thing works? Also it would be pretty cool if we could make up some kind of banner or flag, to go on the antennas or somewhere else on the cars driving. To let the other drivers know what we are doing.

Basically it's like a walk-a-thon where your sponsor's sponsor you $X/mile completed. So for this a $.01/mile donation amounts to $12. Bring the $ you collect to the event and we'll have an awards ceremony at the end for the people who raised the most $. SOA is going to be sending me some prizes for the people who raise the most and some door prizes as well. I also have a friend in the Edmund's PR section who is going to pass along the info to her friends in the automotive media so we may get some other press on this as well. Also since it's for charity if there are friends who are non-subie owners that want to partake by all means invite them.

PLEASE RSVP via e-mail on the webpage. Thanks.

There's a rally up here on the 12th. On one hand, a few of us may be tied up most of the night, on the other hand, will you be here early enough to run? Info is on www.flr-scca.com.

We'll need to be rolling in pretty late on the 12th probably 11pm-midnightish since we'll be leaving at 7am from Newark DE on sat morning and need to hit Philly, Pitt and Buffalo before getting there.

I agree with the banner, or flag idea. We want people to see what we are doing and why (especially for the press!)
