Default does WGDC average out the spaces between cells?

Basically I have 30s all the way down in the 70% column and 60s all the way down the 80% column. When logging, the most WGDC I've seen so far is 42.75. Does the max for full throttle average out the two columns before it or ?!?

The ECU interpolates values between the cells. There are also compensation tables for air temp, atmospheric pressure that will alter the maximum WGDC the ECU can use.

Also, did you change your WGDC Initial table to be ~10% less than the Max table? If the difference is too great (~20 I think) you'll not be able to hit the max WGDC, assuming you have not hit target boost.

These may help

oops.

That does it. I hadn't changed that table at all. i guess I'll pull back the initial WGDC now since I've been forcing it up to try to push it past that max value and wondering why it wouldn't go any higher.

Check out this topic for more info on tuning.

Also log your Turbo Dynamics. You want those numbers to be positive and lower than 10. More than 10 means that you aren't hitting your target boost with your current wgdc values and the ecu will add more to your duty cycle to try and hit that boost value. A negative TD means that you're overshooting your target boost, and the ecu is trying to lower the wdgc values to hit your target. So that's also why you may see WGDC values that are more or less than what they are set for.

I just swapped a vf39 in my '06, and I'm learning also. If anything I said is incorrect, please let me know.

The WGDC that the ECU will use cannot be higher than the Max WGDC table (with compensations applied). The '06 WRX also has a 90% upper limit regardless of what is in the table.

All 32bit ecus have the 90% limit, but this parameter is going to be added to the next Enginuity ecu definitions update, so you'll be able to change it if you want.
