Default Couple Misc questions

So i have a couple questions about my car. I have so far done some exhaust work with a flowmaster axle back exhaust and im planning on doing more exhaust work because i want a more boxer sound. so that being said will it hurt my car in any way to just skip the cats and go straight piped from my headers? also my car when running seems to kinda squeal and squeak and i heard its from my accessory belt due to the fact that its got cracks in it. Easy fit for the sqeal? just replace the belt? and is it ok for the exhaust?

belts are cheap just go to a parts store and get a new one.

As for the exhaust, if you have inspections or emissions testing to register your car you'll fail without cats. It's illegal to not have them regardless.

Your car will be louder and pollute more but won't hurt anything on the car. A high flow cat on ebay is less than $100.

There is ZERO reason to go catless. It won't hurt the car, but you'll gain little to no power compared to a high flow cat. To be even more specific than jamal, you can get a high flow cat on Ebay from $40.

A borla header is all you really need from what you posted, well maybe that and a high flow cat.

Running without a resonater, you will get backfires on shifts and when you let off the throttle.

Borla makes the only aftermarket header for the single port, I think. Contact a Borla retailer and ask for the single port?

Well, do the borla headers, and if you like it, then great. If you don't, then you can move on.

The borlas will be fine for sound. Custom fabbing, well, you could mimic an EL header, but AFAIK, there really isn't any other NA header available other than Borla or an EL type, and you definatly want a Borla for the sound...
