Default What is with these ebay listings--6K,7K for 04 STIs?/

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true
Doesn't list the VIN. Doesn't list the city and state.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-...QQcmdZViewItem
Seems to be a dealer.

What is the nature of these scams?

Ah, so that is why they request email contact before one bids. I have been seeing this scheme pretty regularly with private sale listings. Odd that a dealer would do it, though. Thanks for the info.

Ive been dealing with ebay for almost 7 years... all of those auctions are fake.. also the reason why they sometimes have dealer accounts is cuz they have been hacked. I work for ebay by looking for fake auctions and reporting them to the webmasters.

yeah. they steal people's pictures and post them up, that's why some of them are on "dealer lots". I actually talked to one of these miscreants last year about an sti that the guy supposedly "had to sell soon because he's moving to germany". Whenever i asked him why the price was so low, and i told him i thought it was a scam, he never replied back to my email. They don't even have these cars, they are just out to make a quick 6k off of anyone stupid enough to fall for it.
