ok everybody, i was a newbie, til i wasted 6-10 hours trying to load a stage 2 map to my ecu.

The problem wasnt the tactrix cable. the problem wasnt my laptop that was plugged in or the EV8SIV3's maps...nor ECU FLASH. i mean i could log, all day and all night, but i got the same 4.00-4.9 voltage error when trying to flash.

Here was the problem i had everytime i tried loading a .hex file to my car. I would connect the green connectors together (PITA BTW) i connected the tactrix cable, and neglected to find the white connector near the green connector. i simply tried plugging the white connector nearest to the hood pull lever.

if you remove the drivers side kick panel, then the fuse box, pull that down and youll see the green conectors behind where fuse box should be. there is the infamous white connector you need to hook the bridge connector to.

the green connectors are not a PITA, and the white reflash connector is right next to them. worst case just get under the dash with a flashlight, its all right there, in easy reach

it's also easy to learn to recognize which is the green connector by feeling and disconnect it with one hand.

i didn't have to take apart my dash at all to find the flash block and connectors. they were just there when I looked under the dash.

I figured out my problem a while back.. My battery voltage was too low.. Turns out all day i had my headlights on, gauge lights, stereo on so by the time i wanted to tune ECU it wouldnt let me.. Also when you tune make sure all electrical things are off.

+1....I cut off my green connectors & wired in a switch. I use my green connectors on another switch for tuning others.

ALSO, there is another set of green connectors on the passenger side kick panel. I have had 1 or 2 cars I've tuned have these green connectors disconnected & you will not be able to flash either. Leave the passenger side ones connected all the time & the drivers' side one be the one that you connect & disconnect.

i did not cut of the green connectors. If you look inside the green connectors there are spade connectors inside. So, I crimped a few male/female spades onto the end of some wires going up to a switch. no problems as of yet, and i don't forsee any.
