Well it depends on what turbo you're running. If it's the stock turbo, you are going to need to drop both the initial and max wgdc tables by about 40 points. You are also going to want to reduce all three of the turbo dynamics tables as well as the temp compensation table.

As far as the temp compensation, you could probably multiply the entire thing by, oh I dunno, 0.75. Remember, with the GM BCS a little goes a LONG way. Thus, leaving the stock temp compensation map will cause your boost to go all over the place with large temp swings (especially at this time of year). Have fun. |

Also remember to easy onto boost at first to see what psi you're hitting and make small to medium increments.

This is what I'm using on a TD04 with uppipe, Bellmouth Downpipe, and 3" catless...
Code:
Turbo Dynamics (Burst) -2.94 -1.70 -0.77 0.00 0.31 0.77 1.70 2.94 4.51 -5.50 -2.00 -0.79 0.00 0.70 2.50 9.00 20.00 40.00 Code:
Turbo Dynamics (Continuous) -2.94 -1.70 -0.31 0.00 0.31 0.77 1.70 2.94 4.51 -1.50 -0.50 -0.10 0.00 0.15 0.50 1.50 7.00 20.00 Currently my Wastegate Intake Temp Compensation is set to all 0's and I haven't seen any variations due to temp. Just for the heck of it, here is my Max Wastegate Duty table. Keep in mind that you may want to start below these values and work up: Code:
Max Wastegate Duty 12 24 42 49 62 76 88 100 2000 0.0 0.0 0.0 39.8 55.1 69.9 80.1 94.9 2400 0.0 0.0 0.0 29.7 44.9 60.2 69.9 80.1 2600 0.0 0.0 0.0 25.0 37.1 51.2 60.2 66.0 3000 0.0 0.0 0.0 25.0 37.1 51.2 60.2 66.0 4000 0.0 0.0 0.0 25.0 37.1 51.2 60.2 66.0 5000 0.0 0.0 0.0 25.0 37.1 51.2 60.2 66.0 5500 0.0 0.0 0.0 25.0 37.1 51.2 69.9 75.0 7000 0.0 0.0 0.0 25.0 37.1 51.2 64.8 69.9 |

Yeah, that table is totally not going to work for an '06 WRX.

Holy Cow! You're dialing +40% WGDCs on the gain table. That sounds like insanity to me. My table ends at 3psi with 5 WGDCs. That yields stupid fast spool with slight spiking on my car. I can't imagine what 40 will do. Maybe scaling the table higher and dialing in something really big will help spool but even 20 at 3 psi seems really high. I do have my turbo and DP wrapped but I doubt that would account for such a big variation. It is possible that you're reaching the physical limit of how fast the turbo can spool. Dialing 20 or 40 will not do that much more for it. Please post some more info that I asked for above so I can get a better understanding how this is working for you. |

I've been running these values for months, so everything from -8F to 75F has been stable. I loaded these same tables on another 2.0 WRX at Stage 1 (gutted uppipe) and he was hitting 16 psi with a 16.4 psi target. This is probably due to the fact that his wastegate arm hasn't been tightened. He was running an MBC before and has had nothing but good things to say about the boost control with my tables. Here is my Target Boost for 100% throttle:
Code:
RPM Boost 2000 16.86 2500 17.94 3000 18.41 3500 18.41 4000 18.41 4500 17.94 5000 17.33 5500 16.55 7000 14.08 Code:
