Default Ecuflash

Has anyone else here used ecuflash? Is it supposed to ask you what model ecu you are writing to after clicking "write to ecu" the same way it does when you click "read ecu?"

Thanks

Ecuflash is based on base flash methods that are common between models. If ecuflash (reading or writing) does not recognize your ECU ID, it will ask you for the "flash method". It will only do this once. So what I do for the DBW ecus (if it is a new one) is read the rom first, inherit from STI05BASE, and read. Then it will not ask again. There is also an ecuflash forum for help. http://forums.openecu.org/
