Default Replaced TMIC, do I need to reset ECU?

Replaced TMIC with the ebay/autodynasty one. Do I need to reset the ECU to relearn? I've got a tactrix cable but everything on the car is stock except for the tmic and a panel air filter.

Is there a way to do it w/o disconnecting the battery, or is that the easiest way?

There was a post about accelerating the learning process. Does that actually work?

Although its never a bad idea to reset your ECU after a mod, its not going to make a huge differance with your TMIC change.

If you want to reset the ECU the simplest way is to disco the battery and press the brakes a few times to dissapate the charge.
