Default GPS Tracking Security Systems

Anyone have KARR or something equipvalent installed on their car? I was wondering since I Googled "GPS auto tracking" and a ton of websites came up. It is cheaper than Lowjack, which I had on my old car and the GPS enables you to track it from home.

I thought Lojack was a one time fee. Where as GPS tracking systems require a monthly service fee(cellular connection required for tracking and realtime updates). So in that, whole it may have lower upfront costs, it's more expensive over time?

Yes, I paid $1000 to have LoJack put on my car with no monitoring fee. The cops put out a signal that activates it to track it if stolen. GPS cost about $15 a month on some models.

So far the ONLY decent gps tracking system I have found that doesnt charge by the month:

I have a free personal use account and I'm using a Boost Mobile i425 phone. The phone cost me $39 at Target plus $10 every 3 months to keep the Boost Mobile account alive. I stuck the phone in a tupperware box and velcroed it to the top of the air filter under the hood of my 2008 Impreza. It was a quick-and-dirty install, but it worked so well, I havent touched it.

You should look into guidepoint I install 4-5 of them a day and they seem to work great I very rarely have to fix them and you can get all kinds of tracking options from them.
