Lean AFR, 13 IAM
First of all, is 10.51:1 considered lean? At mid-high load and RPM it is about 1.0 leaner than the stock map. (this is in the low detonation fuel map)
When does the high detonation fuel map kick in? Does the IAM have to sense extreme knock before it comes on? I know this all ties in with the OL/CL concept which I don't fully understand. I'm all confused

10.5:1 is considered very very rich. Lower numbers are richer, higher is leaner. Are you saying that the AFRs are higher or lower than what the map says?
Please e-mail me your map and some logs and I'll take a closer look. I can also help you with the OL/CL stuff. [email protected] |

Would you consider an a/f r of 11.02 being to rich for a 3rd gear WOT pull?
I'm running stage 1 on my 07 WRX TR with 91 octane. |

^^^Where are you getting the AFR from? That sounds like the reading from the stock O2 sensor which isn't something you can trust for AFR readings outside of stoic.
My AFR target is usually around 11.2, for 91 octane it would probably be 11 though. It isn't too rich for pump gas. You have to be careful with how rich you go with the stock catalytic converters in place. The Stock ECU does run pretty rich though so I don't know what the limit is, but too rich will burn up your cats. |

For the time being, I suppose I could find an AWD dyno in the KC area with a good sniffer. |

^^^If you still have Cats in place, which you should at Stage 1, then the sniffer will be useless in getting a valid reading.

^^^Yup. But it will probably need to be custom installed in the stock downpipe. The WB02 sensor needs to be after the turbo and before the catalytic converters to get a good reading. IMO easier to just go stage 2 and replace the rear O2 with a wideband unless you want to stay Stage 1

That does sound a lot easier to just do it when I get a TBE. If the stock piping comes off it is going to stay off. Thanks man. |

So is it possible to just replace the factory O2 Sensor with a WB 02 sensor and plug the WB into the ECU and then be able to get the correct AFR from enginuity?

Wait, there is 2 O2 Sensor right? one in the exhaust manifold on the passenger side and another one in the downpipe. Which one does enginuity display?
