Default 04 STi modified AVCS map for download

Hi all. I've been working on this for a while now. since october 06. I'm going to be changing things up a bit with a custom all carbon ram airbox/ turbo inlet(from my company kradcarbon.com), and a lot more hopefully. So this is probably the last iteration that would be applicable to anyone else. time to share! so this is a damned good map for my current engine setup which is:

04 STi ~27k miles
BPM catless TBE(divorced wg tube)
APEXi short ram
greddy catch can

and i monitor it with:
ZT2 wideband(into the ecu's fuel level sender for logging)
greddy DG gauges

i'm pleased to share it in the interest of the group overall.
any criticism and help is appreciated and welcomed, and i'm open to discuss most aspects of the tune. i've been datalogging and comparing more than just WOT, so it's very drivable, this avcs map gives the best response, spoolup and topend with no negative KC. i run AFRs of ~12-12.5:1 which some people will tell you will blow the hell up. no. if you're worried, go thru the fuel map, it's 11.5:1 at higher loads. it should be fine and run those AFRs with a stock housing. my MAF scalar is set to run a little leaner than that. i doubt anyone else will use this one. also it's scaled out to 3 g/rev, cause well, i needed it. my injectors are pretty maxed out ~95% and i need to work on the boost tables more, but all in all a good map for now. i was foccusing my efforts on the avcs portion of it.

if you like em, tell me about it!
if you dyno with them, tell me about it!

so, just save these as:

APEXI SHORT RAM large MAF HOUSING

STOCK MAF SCALED

i'll post them on my site with a specific STi page soon enough.

good luck!

disclaimer: if you blow your car up, don't cry to me or expect me to pay for a new engine or even new sparkplugs. you're on your own. you're a big boy, grow a pair. in the spirit of free software I'd like to point out that these maps are my intellectual property and you can use them all you want as an individual, but they are not to be sold or purchased! i won't be selling them, so why should you?

my car never came with a stock MAF, i have tons of logs, it's starting to get nice and hot here, and i don't have any really recent ones, but the rest of the map isn't much different from stock. i've been on this particular map for ~2 weeks now. it's really nice, and that was just homing in on my MAF scaling. last i logged i got no knock, and still a bunch of +KC.. but what did you want to see? the avcs portion of the map is probably what you're interested in. try it out! just copy the AVCS maps to your cells and give it a shot. you won't need any timing or fuel changes, but you'll want to at least set your KC to have more allowance to find your own timing maps. use it as a base to your own tuning on. it wouldn't work well for you as you have different top feed injectors anyway. yes, stock boost solenoid.

Can this be used on an 05 STi as well? I have an acquaintance and I am not sure if he has a 04 or 05 yet but he is looking to do a TBE and reflash of some sort.

Why do you pull timing down so sharply in the higher rpms at the low load points? Why at the same time do you richen the fuel map into the 10s in the same area? What Octane was this tuned on?

lol, that's just for a little bit of safe anit-lag/fireball shooting action. you can copy the factory maps into those areas if you like.

for use on an 05, i'd start with an 05 base map and copy over the tables..

93 octane.

so how'd it go? i just went thru and looked at your avcs maps from the "AVCS anyone?" thread, have to say i hadn't been keeping up. your maps are vastly different than mine. interesting to see what someone else who's tried otherwise has to say about them.

went thru evolution stage1 yesterday, both instructors that drove the car were very impressed with the boost response, first one actually took it around for a couple joy rides, loving it, and the second one liked the sideways action and actually said i should probably tune it down a bit, as in the slalom the boost came on a bit too fast and hard to control easily. i got thru that tho, very delicate footwork hah! i'll work on it too, as i've only changed the full throttle WGDC maps. but these guys drive stis and evos and stuff all the time. so that was good news! suffice to say the avcs maps rock! i want to work on the topend a bit more, i've been creeping up on the maps i have now. my injectors are ~93***37; duty cycle with this map at 1 bar boost @6500rpm, 12:1 AF on the nose with 2.6G/rev loading. also did the changes to the WG maps running 95% WGDC there, so i think i'll be doing some bigger injectors, or bumping the fuel pressure and maybe EWG or BCS.. need to look into that.
