Thumbs up Cheap Winter tires!

By the time I was done buying my RS last year I was pretty well tapped out. But I still bought steel rims and tires for the winter. I just couldn't afford Blizzaks or Arctic Alpins so I went to CDN Tire and bought Nordic Tracks. I have never tried any other brands so I can't really compare them to anything, but I was impressed with the traction none the less.

Yesterday I was in CDN Tire ordering some Hella FF300's and I was dealing with the manager of the parts dept. There was a flyer laying on the counter (the Nordics are on sale, less than $70 for 195/65-15's) and I asked him who made them. He went and looked in a book and said it was Michelin. He could be right, or he could be wrong, but he did look it up.

Just thought you Canucks might be interested.

Yup, Canadian Tire tires are made by either MIchelin or Bridgestone I believe. Not too shabby either..for cheap passenger tires, they do their job relatively well.

Bridgestone & Michelin depending on which Canadian Tire tire you go with.
