Default andy forrest -- 9.15 @ 135mph

just saw this over on SN, thought i'd spread the word...

http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-g...ile-today.html

low trap from loss of fuel pressure towards the end of the run due to blown fuse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30_O8Qp5eAQ

another pass netted "best ever 1/8th mile of 127mph in 5.9 secs." then missed 4th gear twice on the back half. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGi7D9J6ixk

the couple of full pulls he managed traps in the high 150mph range.

absolutely awesome stuff! congrats andy.

a little less than 1 year ago, the drivetrain consisted of a hollinger 5mt gearset, oem case, quaife helical LSD front, oem rear diff (plated, r180 iirc), modena plated center diff.

Hi Guys

Trans is still the same spec as above. The Hollinger is now into its 4th season.
3-4 change is real simple.....normally....but when you think you may on for an 8 sec run and you are trying to do the fastest shift ever it can somehow go wrong !

As a matter of interest, on this engine I am using small port 03 WRX heads rather than the large port Sti castings. The midrange torque increases seem to more than offset the slight drop in peak power (averaged over a 1/4 mile run)

Tyres are M/T street radials, the car is still set up for corners, it came 2nd out of the UK's top 80 Imprezas in a recent handling competition in the UK.

The car is still street legal although it is well stripped out and caged.

cheers

Andy

that 2.4 liter has me wondering what internal dimensions you are running and I have two guesses...

No, this year I have an intercooler, I have always used conventional injectors, electric pumps and a variable % of race gas/methanol mix
This is a new engine for this year, the Crawford unit was running fine until I overdosed on N2O last season, lifted the heads and scored the block faces. that block has now been relinered to 98mm and will be used as my spare engine. Original crawford supplied crank and rods will be reused with new Wiseco pistons.

1st off awesome awesome ride! I could imagine if Andy had grabbed 4th.

ok please dont hate me for saying this. Im sure every1 watched the show Pinks, and the only time ive ever seen any import on that show was some dumb fat kid with a boosted Si and he could drive worth a damn, got like 20 car lengths and finally won 1 but sucked worse then childbirth. Andy you need to take that monster of a subaru u have on that show and whoop some ******* ass, take thier car and donate it to NASIOC as a trophie and testament to all imports.....if this sounds too far fetched I just got off work and am enjoying a cold 1.......but seriously you could miss 4th all day and murder them...too bad ur in the UK
