ASK ABOUT NEW RCE
SWAY BARS FOR STI

Default Lose your bouncy seats and step up to Sabelt or Recaro!!! Harnesses available too!!!

Impreza seats look nice. They even look and feel like they should be comfortable. The STi's blue alcantera feels nice to the touch, and anything with a little pink on it is okay by me.

But at RCE, we prefer to sit IN our seats....not ON them. We've also noticed that the stock seats bounce like a trampoline and changing radio stations is an exercise in timing and self control. They're stiff as a board, and yet you still bounce down the road. Not to mention the complete lack of support and bolstering. Hanging out the window is no way to get through an auto-x course.

Our sore cheeks and kidneys have fared a lot better since we've used Recaro Speeds and SPGs, and now recently Sabelt Titans in our own cars. Very comfortable, tons of support, and they look awesome. No pink though....

-----------------------------------------------------------

Sabelt Titan

The Titan is a lightweight fiberglass shell with higher sides for increased lateral support. It has 5 harness slots, adjustable leg cushion and is side mounted. Available in black, red or blue. FIA approved.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Sabelt Taurus

The Taurus is a lightweight fiberglass shell with built-in head support and higher sides for increased lateral support. It is HANS compatible. It has 5 harness slots, adjustable leg cushion and is side mounted. Available in black, red, or blue. FIA approved.

Carbon Fiber version available.

$799

-----------------------------------------------------------

Sabelt Taurus XL

Same as the Taurus but the seat is cut wider for drivers up to 260 pounds. This is one of the largest seats in the industry and it is built to accomodate the Hans device comfortably and safely.

$859

-----------------------------------------------------------

Recaro Profi SPG

The professional glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) shell has special friction grip surfaces in the shoulder area that makes it an excellent choice for use in rallying and circuit racing. Recaro SPG XL version features glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) shell mould specially adapted for the larger driver is 35 mm wider and 65 mm higher than the standard version and comes with larger belt guides.

XL and Carbon Fiber versions also available.

$799

-----------------------------------------------------------

Recaro Pole Position

The racing shell for newcomers to motorsports. Seat made of glass fibre reinforced plastic GRP. The pronounced seat cushion and seat back bolsters offer optimum vehicle control in extreme driving situations.

$649

-----------------------------------------------------------

Recaro Speed

The RECARO Speed combines sporting design and optimum lateral hold at an introductory price. For drivers with sporting ambitions who still insist on comfort. Features belt guides for both 3 point and 4 point belt systems. Specially formed shoulder support provide excellent lateral hold. Distinctive pronounced seat and backrest bolsters also add lateral support even in sharp corners. Seat back release and recline adjustment on both sides for comfortable operation. Also features individual lumbar support by special cushion element for ergonomic fatigue-free seating.

They don't list them, only for the racing seats. I can have Dan in the office measure his seats when he gets back from the track on Monday.

The EVO has the Sports, although I heard they were slightly different then actual Recaro Sports.

Either way, the Speeds are a good bit tighter, and IMO much nicer.

$888 picked up

The blue suede inserts needs to be special ordered, so it would take about 2-3 weeks.

Recaro speed w/blue suede looks so tempting...

Noob question, do you loose the drivers side airbag if you install one of these?
