You did get the Evo\Subaru cable.
You DO NOT plug it in to the ECU! The cable plugs in to your OBD2 Diagnostic port under the steering wheel. Never mess with the ECU.

The white connector hanging off the OBD plug is not needed. You do however need to use the seperate blue connector block that came with the cable. Its got one wire.

No offense dude.. But you should not be using openecu tuning if you don't know what ur doing... If you don't even know that the cable plugs in to the obd port, then that is not saying much about your ability to tune the car.. open ECU maps are OTS maps yes, But they are BASE MAPS only, 9 out of 10 cars need fine tuning to run safely. Just my 2 cents.. I think you need to go with an AP or let a professional tuner do your flash and fine tune it for you.. Yes its going to cost you some money, but its gonna be cheaper than replacing your block with a piston hole in it.. Most tuners charge an hour fee for fine tuning work like this, In houston at Engine Logics its 175 an hour, and i doubt it will even take an hour. Maybe 30 mins tops. Good investment...
