Default Anyone have a login for manheim auctions?

I've been considering getting a dealers license for a long time but I'd like to know about how much certain cars go for at a typical dealer auction. Coverage of the IGA Catalogue has a lot to offer again. Does anyone have a login I could use for an hour to take some notes? Or if you're worried I might go bid on a bunch of cars would someone mind looking up a few things for me there? Thanks OT!

manheim is wholesale used cars, not collector-grade stuff

OP what are you looking for specifically?

barrett jackson - http://www.barrett-jackson.com/

RM Auctions - http://www.rmauctions.com/

when you trade in a car at a dealer they 9 times out of 10 use the value your trade-in will get at manheim as the basis for what they will give you

IE 2003 WRX

what do you mean by "how much margin is there?"

the margin between what an auctioner wants and what they actually get?

the margin between what a car is bought at manheim for and what it can be sold 'on the street'?

in either case 15 min of looking isn't going to be able to give a good estimate as its really on a car per car basis. you have no idea what the margin is from the seller to the buy, and you have no idea what you can sell that car you got for $10k until you find out what repairs it needs, etc...

Auction prices versus street prices. And you're right about 15 minutes not being long enough to look, but my only other option is tagging along to an auction in person where values on everything could be high or low on a certain day...

^ thats kinda the point always

so I posted values, sorted by mileage for a 2003 WRX if you look at NADAGUIDE.com trade in is $12k for 80k miles and retail is ~14K

that seems REEEAAALLY high for what it was actually going for in the beginning of june.....

easiest way is to take the values i posted above and then hit up autotrader or cars.com and cross-reference the values that way

your best bet is to go with someone who has a license a couple times and see that way
