Bad Service
So i figured i will post this up so the public can hear my great customer service/sales purchase from maperformance. This started on 6/30/07 i placed an order with nathan for a spec stage II clutch and ss clutch line, i have an appointment to have the clutch installed 7/14/07, So on monday 7/9/07 i was told by Nathan that "You should definitely have it by friday." yea rite,, so i call and speak with chris earlier this week and he told me the clutch and line were shipped together, so here we are friday and in the mail i get the ss line but noooo clutch.. i call and speak with bill and chris and they finaly give me a tracking number and now they say the clutch will not be there till monday 16th, so i ask for a return lable because i want to return there clutch which is useless to me, and they are going to charge me restocking fee and shipping, so im screwed because they dont have thier act together enough to find out from the supplier when my clutch will be sent, and now i have to purchase a new clutch and have it overnighted so the car can be fixed tomorrow, so i would be weary when buying something from maperformance because youll be told one thing and then something else happens. So maperformace sucks in my book and i never will purchase anything from them again p.s ( i knew that spec was closed for the week of the holiday and they didnt advise me of that till after i orderd the clutch)

just to let you know chris i had to order another clutch from spec through jsc speed and have to overnight it for me so the shop can have it tomorrow to fix my car, i would really appriciate it if you can do something about restocking fee and shipping fee, jsc speed has notified spec about the mistake and they were appoligetic. i did end up paying another $200 for the clutch and shipping to have it in the time that i needed it, I just wish that i was better informed before i made my order, now nathan advised me after my order was made that spec was closed and said he can cancle my order, i had told him that to keep the order "only" if he can assure me that it would be at my home on friday 7/13 and he said it deffintly will, and when i found out wed that the package that came today for the clutch line only weighd 1lb i called you and you told me that the clutch and line were together, so if you only would have told me that the clutch wasnt shipped i wouldnt have gone through this whole mess. well ill call you when i get the clutch on monday and let me know what to do so i can return it and hopefully i wont be charged for the shipping and restocking fee. thanks again chris i dont mean to be dick but this whole situation could have been delt with differently.

As I said I will do my best to get Spec to take care of the restocking fee and shipping. I will report back on Monday. We learned a valuable lesson regarding shipping from Spec from this situation, and next time around we will be more cautious when giving shipping estimates from them...
