Default Bucking in 2nd gear sometimes.. help!

I have an 02 wrx with the following:

*80k miles
*Borla Hush catback
*ERZ downpipe
*ERZ uppipe
*Cobb 91 oct Stg. 2 Reflash via Openecu/Tactrix cable
*Stock turbo

I flashed the ECU a few weeks ago and now I am noticing some bucking in 2nd gear at WOT from about 3k rpms and up. It doesn't happen all the time. I *sometimes* also get it in third gear, but rarely.

My boost gauge may be slightly off, but I'm only able to boost about 13-14psi. In the beginning, I hit 15psi pretty often. Should I re-reflash it to give the ECU a fresh copy? Should I copy the map from the ecu and compare it's parameters with a fresh copy of the cobb map to see if anything somehow changed?

I don't think your ECU is the problem, i'm guessing you might have something mechanical. (the ECU is generally all or nothing, it doesn't develop problems over time)

Interesting.
+1, clean MAF. Stock air intake and BPV?
Log and make changes if needed.

it sounds like fuel cut from overboost.
where did you tap for your boost gauge?

Why would he be hitting boost cut shifting to second? Sounds more like either hes shifting too low with a dirty intake/maf or hes in need of a grounding kit. Are you on stock plugs?

yes, I am running stock plugs.

I also get a pretty powerful static shock when I get out of the car and close the door/kiss my girlfriend. no joke!

I know I need a grounding kit, but it didn't buck (noticably) when I just had TBE. Could the reflash and uppipe intensify the bucking due to more power?
