Question $40 knock sensor, Will it work??

I did a search first off, but this is something new (unless I didn't find it).

I'll make this a fast post so I get a fast response hopefully

Engine is an Ej22 96 OBII 120K miles

Now Autozone and Advance sell a Knock sensor for 88 Bucks, however online (Advance's website) I found one for 44 bucks. Here is what gets me, the same brand that makes this 44 dollar sensor sells a 112 dollar one. All I need to know is will the 44 dollar one work just fine and why would I consider spending 3 times as much for a knock sensor?

Here is the link to the Sensors: http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductL...r=Knock+Sensor

IMHO, you get what you pay for when it comes to automotive electrical componets.

Of course new OEM is best, but if you want to save $$, never get aftermarket electronics, you are literally better off with used OEM parts in most cases.

I kind of agree with the you get what you pay for scenario but I kind of need it to only last me a year, to finish off college at which the engine will be replace or redone lol. So I guess no one knows anyone who went cheap on the knock sensor?

Anyway I checked the knock sensor after posting this yesterday and it checked out fine by doing the continuity test. I'm not fully relying on it being fine though but it hasn't thrown the check engine light again yet after a long drive through the mountains.
