This car is no longer in our fleet. However, despite all the hoopla, the 5-speed is not made of glass. The biggest issue that most 5-speeds have is with the nut behind the wheel.

Can the nut be tightened at all, or threadlocker applied?

A local guy with an 04 (2.5l swap) was running a VF22 for (IIRC) ~50K miles. He was pushing 427 whp on race gas with the stock tranny. He recently blew up his engine at a track and is rebuilding with a new block and, AFAIK keeping the stock tranny.
