Post History Road 2001

NOTE: This is a copy of a message sent out to all Alberta AWD Club members. Though I might as well post it here too, so if anyone else not affiliated with this club wants to come out you can have your chance too

Ok, guys. Got come information on History Road 2001 that is taking place at the Reynolds Museum on June 9 and 10, 2001. To participate, we have to fill out a registration for every vehicle we will be taking out there no later than May 11 @ 4:30 PM. I have a copy of a document sent to me by one of the organizers, and it goes something like this (copy and pasted from document):

The Reynolds-Alberta Museum in Wetaskiwin, Alberta presents the third annual History Road special event weekend on June 9 and 10, 2001. History Road is a two kilometre, chronological display of more than 350 cars, trucks and motorcycles from the years 1901 to 2002.
This exciting event offers a comprehensive look at 100 years of transportation history. A car and fashion parade held daily will feature vehicles from several decades, with the drivers and passengers dressed in fashions of the time.
We invite you to participate in a number of ways: register your cars, trucks and motorcycles to be part of the display, dress in the fashion appropriate to the era of your vehicle, and drive your vehicle in the Farewell Parade.
There is a special display area for hot rod and custom vehicles

Participation Guidelines:

Only those who have completed this registration form will be permitted to display vehicles along History Road.
You must complete one registration form for each vehicle you wish to display..
Please complete the reverse side of this registration form. This information will appear on the laminated sheet displayed in the window of your vehicle to inform the public about your vehicle.
There is no registration fee for this event.
All pre-registered vehicle driver/owners will be provided with free admission to the Museum and grounds on the day(s) their vehicle(s) is on display.
Passengers will pay regular admission. Passengers paying on Saturday will be admitted free on Sunday.
All vehicles registered for display must be on site by 9:00 am for marshalling.
must commit to having their vehicle(s) on display from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Owners are responsible for security, protection and insurance of their vehicles while on display.
Vehicles may not be displayed for promotional or sale purposes. Signage reflecting either of these
purposes is not permitted.

Registered participants will receive:

History Road 2001 dash plaque
laminated vehicle information display sheet
color photograph of your vehicle
free admission to Reynolds-Alberta Museum
participant ribbon

Let me know if you are even the slightest bit interested in this event. Ideally, I would like to have all the members vehicles displayed at the show. Note that it is not required to have your car out there for both days. Hope we can get everyone together for this event, because it looks like it will be a lot of fun, and maybe a good chance to recruit some more people too. If you want a copy of the document files (application and overview) email me and i will send them to you. They are saved as word files. If we are going to go, we should submit all the applications en masse, so if you want to go, fill out the application and email it back to me. Also, we should get a general history of subaru put together, since it does ask for this on the applications.
