I got a 7 year 100k on my 2012 for free with zero deductible and as I cross 94k this morning, I've never used it once. Not a huge deal since it was given to me by soa for customer satisfaction reasons, but if I paid $1400, I'd be pissed

yep - that is what insurance is about - throwing the dice....one diff between your '12 ans my '17 is that mine just underwent a 95 pct redesign which means it is virtually teh frist yur of a new model AND it is not being wholly built in Indiana. Yours was built in japan. i got thrid generation Eyesight w/ radar in the fron and the back, lots of crap that cd go wrong. I just saw jd power and subaru was not even in the top 10 with fewest defects withing 3 yrs of new car ownership.

what does SOA mean?

SOA = Subaru of America

I purchased my 13 WRX used. I ended up using the warranty in less than 6 months and it saved me about $5000. Your car is not turbocharged and is probably an automatic so the odds of problems with your car in this time frame are probably lower.

if you buy the gold plus extended warranty in the state where you reside, do you have to pay sales tax on the warranty? One dealer from another state said that there wd be no tax if we bought the warranty from him.

If you plan on keeping it that long it's worth it. I see it all the time at my work. 90k and headgaskets are shot or leaking. Pay your $100 and be on your way. Same with the trans. Pretty reliable but you get some in here or there that are toasted. I'd spend the extra money for extra protection. I purchased one on my Rs back in the day and it was good to 80k. At 79k I did an oil consumption test and got a new short block.

hi, I'm new to the forums. I don't know if you ever purchased the warranty, but if you didn't, I'd give Luke from Subaru Stamford a call. I got mine from, he was the lowest I've found. He's at 203-252-2222

Hi Luke, peddling your services on nasioc is something I believe is against the rules. I've noticed your other post you're doing the same thing.

That's honestly not a bad deal, MSRP on that plan is $2080.

I think that is a pretty good price. I paid $1,400 for the same warranty for my wife's XV Crosstrek.

Yeah, that's not a bad deal. I even asked about it my friend working at DSRLeasing and they have them for slightly more. I would say, go for it if you feel like it
