Default Oh Noes! 3 Tone GC - Not Your Average Blue With Ver VI Lip

UPDATED PICS, HDR SHOT ON PG 2..

Okay everybody here's the most recent update. She's almost done, hoping to have her all buttoned up by Sunday. I'm so excited! Here's what just happened months prior.

For what ended up being the last show and shine in stock form, I had an idea of running a 2 tone GC. With the help of my good painter friend Rob Friesen (Rob Friesen Paint Designs from Roughneck Motorsports/Drift HPA), we decided to take it to the next step:

Take one fairly stock bodied RSTi:

Whip up some crazy 2 tone concept with some Foose'esqe inspiration in Photoshop (Thanks Import_Revolution!):

Document the build on the internetz and wait for the hate haha!

Just to list off a few items to be included:
Group A Performance
Powerslots
Prodrive P1 goodies
Greddy TIC
Azenis
Custom paint (all 3 colors haha..all oem subaru except for one custom gold piece)
Invidia
Zerosports
ARC

Tear Down

Tease with some crappy cell phone pics:

Custom 2 tone with custom gold center band. All the colors have a flake in it. The car looks absolutely gorgeous! The Java Black is so beautiful under the light, the way the gold/green reflect off the black is amazing! The "ADVAN" gold band breaks up the Java and Blue Ridge so nice. An excellent accent to the uber rare 8.5" wide RG's.

Yes, the engine bay is striped and 2 toned as well. BALLIN! Apparantly 5 hours in masking alone. This guy is goooooooood!

I decided to get my key hole removed, I'm a sucker for smooth shaved holes...INTENSE

The remaining parts are being panted and clear coated tonight. The band will continue inside the gas cap, trunk and door jams as well. Lots of work needs to get done for Perfect 10 in Fargo, and the Canadian Invasion at Hot Import Nights Minneapolis. I am stoked!

Let the hating begin!

Better pics to follow once she's out of paint, tons of work still!

Thanks for the feedback guys, it's been in the shop for a month. The painter has been taking his time on this one, he has done a bunch of show cars in the past already so he's got an idea of how to get things done =D. What still blows me away is that he did the engine bay with the engine in it still!

As for mods, its a typical stage 1 sti. Ran 12.7 and trapped 108 with it last year with just an AP, axleback blitz, and perrin panel filter. As it sits, I've got an Invidia DP (catless), Group A Performance pullies, and AP stg 2 waiting to be put on. The nawzzzz was just for pictoral fun haha.

The rest are going to be bolt on goodies. She deserves a nice body job. It's been through 6 years of autox/winter-x/daily driving. It's a complete daily driver.

A few track shots:

A spread in a local mag

Winterx 06 shot

Sport Compact Nights (SCN 06) (no ICE so I improvised)

where did you get that fog light cover with the intake hole??
IMO the separating line should have been higher and the line itself thinner, but that's just my opinion.

Still this thing is HOT!

The fog cover is a genuine Prodrive P1 piece.

Originally the line was going to be thinner, but the tape I picked up looked really thin when layed up next to the car. The gold was too damn sexy to be that thin, so I opted for a thicker line. I'll snap better pics today hopefully.

As for the height, I was tossed up where to do it originally, at first I wanted it to wrap around the A and C pillars (leaving the hood and trunk blue. Turns out, the lined ended up right on the body line of the car.
