Default Which Cams? 2.5 Hybrid

I'm just about to start doing my hybrid build and I'm stuck on cams.

My tuner suggested atleast STI cams but people have told me you need to weld the holes for the AVS closed?

I'm not sure what to do and I'd rather not spend a ton of money of cams and springs and ****.

Any suggestions?

I should get my car back from the shop this week. I went a different route this time and got Kelford Heads and Cams designed for low end power. Trying to build a nice rally/ autoX motor this time around.

I went with 264/270 for the fast low end. Kelford stuff costs a lot but I believe it is worth it. I will know soon.

Brian Crower stage 2's (Gruppe-S sells them) are advertised to work with the OEM valvetrain. I believe they are .272 duration on both intake and exhaust and 10.16 lift. I'm thinking of trying them, but I haven't heard any feedback yet on how successful people have been with these. The price isn't bad though...
