Lightbulb Crucial Racing Uppipe SALE! $30 off! +racepipes, HFC pipes, Cu-Seal GSKTS, T-Stats, +

First, check out our OTHER BRANDS (click, this is a link) page! We're far from finished getting all of the applicable products up on the site for easy purchase, but there's a list of most of the brands we have great accounts with and we can quickly and painlessly get ANYTHING from any of those brands listed! Plus, there's a clutch and brakes page with a decent amount of stuff up on there already (PM for NASIOC prices, especially if you're thinking of picking up multiple items!)...

UPPIPE SALE!

$30 off Crucial Uppipes for the NASIOC crew! This is only going to last until October 1st... Also, $15 off our "full gasket set" when you order an uppipe @ the same time. The full set includes all of the gaskets that typically get exposed during an uppipe installation and nothing 'extra.'

These ship FREE via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 day delivery anywhere in US & PR)!!!

PayPal link to order Uppipe @ NASIOC sale price: LINKY LINKY

PayPal link to order Uppipe w/ NASIOC discount AND Full Gskt Set @ $15 discount here: LINKY

^^^ additional information, pictures, etc available on our site HERE

If you'd rather not PayPal, please PM or e-mail and we'll get back to you with other options...

Cu-Seal GASKETS:

Just finished the new page for the gaskets! You can now buy the upper and lower uppipe gaskets separately if you require, and we added a T3/T4 style uppipe/turbo gasket to the Cu-Seal line for those guys running GT30R, GT35R, and any T3/T4 style turbo!

www.CrucialRacing.com/products/gaskets.php

Gaskets have been flying off the shelf like crazy all summer, but only a handful of the T3/T4 GT30/35 ones have left the shop! Get the word out to your friends!!!... we were asked by A LOT of people to make this gasket and it's finally here

All the Cu-Seal gaskets come with instructions, too, so you can get the absolute most out of them!

MIDPIPES:

Our great, full 3", FULL 304 stainless steel, TIG welded, metallic substrate highflow cat midpipes (<<< link) are back in stock! These work with almost all of the shorty downpipes on the market and are the perfect choice to go between that and a full 3" catback.

Stainless steel, full 3" Catless Racepipes are in stock as well!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

And, of course, we have our famous Coolsafe Thermostats in stock!!! Still enough warm weather left in a lot of the country to really see a big benefit from running one of these bad boys.

Radiator Caps and Summer Cooling Kits are still going strong into the fall!

Don't miss our thread in Vendor Services about turbo P&P&C! The service comes out GREAT and it's getting more and more popular, too. Good for a HUGE bump in the efficiency of that turbo and makes it look dead sexy at the same time

As you can see from the picture, the holes in those exhaust manifold gaskets are just about as large as they can physically be. Even if you have headers with ridiculously large piping, keep in mind that your exhaust ports aren't ridiculously large. As long as the gaskets you use are larger than the diameter of the exhaust ports, it doesn't matter if they're a little smaller than the header piping diameter. BUT... I'm not familiar with any headers on the market with larger piping that the openings in these gaskets.

However, in answer to your question, the holes in the exhaust manifold gaskets are just over 1.75" in diameter. If you really wanted to, you could cut out that whole embossed section (copper is pretty soft so you can cut it relatively easily) and that would increase the diameter. But there's no physical way to get 2" holes on this gasket. The holes would overlap with the edges of the gasket and it would fall apart

I think you may have thought I was talking about gasket #5 on your website. I'm talking about the collector to the uppipe (I think gasket #1 on your website)

Oh, btw I'm using a zerosports exhaust manifold if that helps. I just wanna make sure these will fit an aftermarket exhaust manifold (I tried using OEM gaskets and they were too small)

I'm still trying to figure out if your high flow catted mid pipe would work with my Greddy SP2 catback since i believe my exhaust tapers from 3" to 2.5" to meet up with the stock midpipe now.

Oh haha. Gotcha . Yeah, makes more sense that you're looking for the manifold-to-uppipe gasket in a larger size

I do believe the hole in our manifold-to-uppipe gasket is the same as the OEM size though. There also isn't much room in that gasket to open up the hole and still have enough material around it to provide some stength to the gasket. The OEM one is a much larger hole diameter than the collector *should* be and the uppipe *should* be... I realize a lot of aftermarket headers have ridiculously large collector outlets and I'm honestly not sure what the best course of action for a gasket for those would be assuming you have an uppipe of the same [or larger] diameter. If your uppipe has a smaller diameter than that collector, which is VERY often the case, all you should care about is that the gasket hole is at least the uppipe diameter... doesn't matter that it's smaller than the collector outlet if the uppipe is going to change to a smaller diameter anyway

We've had a handful of customers cut off the embossed section of this gasket. It opens up the hole appreciably and still works extremely well as long as you follow the install instructions. Not exactly 'recommended' but it works and sometimes there isn't much else out there.

The only way I can think of to get a larger gasket is to hit up an auto parts store like Pep Boys or whatever and look for a standard collector gasket. A lot of them are 3-bolt for domestic applications but they DO have 2-bolt collector gaskets with larger openings than what we have for Subarus. However... I'm not sure if the bolt holes will line up.

Hope it helps.

Jeremy

Yes, although it's not ideal. Our midpipes are designed to mate up with a 3" flat flange but the bolt holes of our 3" flange and your catback's 2.5" donut style flange are going to line up perfectly. The only problem doing this is that it can be hard to get a full seal without being plagued by small exhaust leaks. This is actually the reason we came out with our 3" Cu-Seal gasket. A LOT of people end up mix-matching 3" flat and donut-style flanges, whether it's a 3" downpipe and a donut catback like what you're thinking of doing, or a 3" catback and a donut downpipe, and most of our 3" Cu-Seal gasket sales go to these setups in order to get full seals. Which, btw, they have been REALLY effective at doing!... no more stacking crappy gaskets on top of each other and gooping them up to get this type of setup to seal!!! :lol;

Haha, glad to hear it . Got the order this evening and it'll ship tomorrow! I see for some reason that PayPal charged a shipping fee for you. I'm not sure why, as it was supposed to be included and I put in $0.00 as the "flat rate" in the setup for this . When we process the order tomorrow I'll make sure it gets sent back to your PP addy. Sorry 'bout that.

Yes, it will. The Stromung for the LGT is a shorty that bolts up to the OEM midpipe, correct? As long as that's the case, our midpipe will work and fit 100% as ours exactly replaces the OEM midpipe except for being larger diameter and high flow.

Thanks for the weekend uppipe orders, guys! They're all shipping today and you should have tracking info to your e-mail from Stamps.com by this evening (if you don't, check your spam folder as some peoples' will snag these Stamps.com tracking info mails for whatever reason).

The downpipe page on the site should explain it: www.crucialracing.com/products/downpipe.php <<< wont have them back in stock for a while still, as we're working on a REALLY exciting brand new design and it's not quite ready yet.

Shoot us a PM or e-mail... it's not quite at that point where we drop the price a bit for winter, but it's close enough that if you contact and ask nicely we can probably be talked into a discount
