Default 2002 WRX- FMIC Questions

Like the title says, I have some questions regarding a front mount on my bugeye. Sorry if this is not in the right thread, but this is most suiting I feel. I tried searching and found nothing that helps.

I am looking to buy a front mount intercooler for my 2002 wrx. I am looking to retain my fog lights and get an idea of what all I am going to need. The car is currently stock and will be that way until the begining of next year. The intercooler on the car now is in bad shape and needs to be changed. Why I have it off and it needs replacing anyways, I am looking to get the front mount on and it being one less thing I have to do. I am wondering if it will be ok to run without a tune, and possibly with a stock intake. I plan on going 18g and tuned begining of next year or around x-mas... Are there any intakes I can use without tuning for? I know I will see lag on the stock turbo and don't mind. I know also I won't be seeing any power gains without a tune..

Any insight on this is greatly appreciated..

Right now im mainly concerned with piping. I can get a core pretty easily

Thanks

definatley do it...if your going for a bigger turbo, its good to have one less thing out the way. now concerning the fog lights, i installed my fmic with blitz piping and it cleared it pretty well.not sure if all piping will do so, reason being the fog light adapters are inwards. you will definately feel the lag, and your bov will sound louder and different then on a tmic.i went with a spt shorty and is excellent. i dont have the tune as of now, but was ordered. not sure if it was helpful or not but good luck
