News Official 7th Annual 48hrs of Tri-State Charity Drive-a-Thon Feb 1-3, 2008

Ok folks, mark your calenders, tell your significant others, etc. etc.

The 7th Annual 48hrs Tri-State Charity Drive it set for Feb 1-3, 2008

This year looks to be the best year ever. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn adjacent to the SOA Headquarters in Cherry Hill with some festivities starting on Jan 31st in the evening. Friday Feb 1 we'll be again heading over to SOA to meet and greet some of the folks there. I'm working on getting us into the SOA Car Museum with some of the older subies we know and love.

As for the rest of the trip? No details yet, but they'll go up here as soon as I have em.

Info on previous years and this years will also be up on http://48hrs.info

-mike

excellent... now i dont have to miss any work, weddings, or any other planned activities. (hoefully)

year 5 for me...
and car # 4

lemme know if theres anything i can do to help, since its half my fault this is delayed into the snow-prone time of year.

hopefully the work schedule doesnt change, because it isnt worked out yet and all my vacation is being used for other activities.

Start by making your pic smaller?

Hee Hee. Yes, we moved it for your wedding, honeymoon, etc. Don't you feel loved now?

More snow: on one hand it's a benefit but on the other it's a feature.
Three months to choose: Blizzaks or the Hakkapeliittas.

Default Here we go again!

Ahh, my yearly meeting up with everyone . Now I can go into work tomorrow (today) and see if I can get that Friday off to go. Can't remember if my co-worker is off to Hawaii at that time or not.

Even though it is 3+months away, any idea which way you plan to route us this year? Towards Vermont/NH again, or back to Canada?

SWEET! I will be attending this year for sure and.......for the first time ever I will be driving my own car ......and for those asking 'he's taking the saab?'.....nope I have a subaru now.

I have 2-3 designs for the shirt this year. Now that we have an official thread I will be doing some final touches on them and can post them up for feedback. I also have designed a window sticker for this event that I will also post up soon.

Hakkapelitta for sure. Hakka 2's have been the best snowtire I have ever used (my dad agrees too). We've tried Michline, Pirelli (was our fav.), and Glisaved (sp?). Hands down the Hakka 2's is the best snowtire we've had.

The GSP thru NNJ was pretty brutal last time. Any thoughts on a less congested road on the way to NY?

and all the hype begins.

now for the unavoidable depression that sets in untill this event happens. WOOT!

Mike..i think back to the Canadaland would be nice, however the passport issue may be in full swing?.i dont know, and i dont care, as i have mine finally.
not to mention, Canada gives Ted 2 reasons to go...

more backroads with less ted breaking and Trenton getting stuck would be great though.
im up for any route though.
i gotta try find snow tires for cheap.

Endless loop of Pine Barrens followed by endless loop of an Adirondack-Cayuga
snow road (with TireRack sponsored tire changing layby) with social evening in
Niagara.

Bonus if we can work in an obscure but catchy name like Chappaqua to Chautauqua.
