Default What rim width/offset for 225/45 r17 on '02 WRX sedan??????

I'am sure this has been asked a thousand times, but I searched as best to my capability and I'am still confused. What offset would I need for a 7.5/8" wheel?? I also want to drop the car approx. 1.5" so I don't want any rubbing. IT seems difficult to find a reasonably priced wheel with a >48mm offset. Can someone give me some links to some wheels that are 7.5-8"with the correct offset.

At 7.5" many people are using rims with +48 offset.(just to be sure thats clear, +48 is positive 48 offset)\

7.5" is pretty much perfect for 225 wheels. At 8" wheels I would use 235. On a sedan anyways, a wagon might need some work for 8" rims.

I don't know where you expect the drop to come from, H&R springs perhaps?

Get Rota Subzeros or Rota Tarmacs for low cost wheels that fit and look mostly decent.(about $500 a set) Anything tirerack sells should work.
