Default 05 RS Wagon lemon?

I bought an 05 RS wagon with 37K miles on it in Febuary from a local Subaru delaership. When the car hit 45K it spun #1 rod bearing. Dealer replace crank, main bearings, rod bearings, #1 rod, and gaskets. Then at 51K spun all 4 rod bearings. Same dealer replaced crank, main bearings, rod bearings, all 4 rods, oil pump, timing belt, and gaskets. Then at 52K developed oil leak. Same dealer replace oil pan gasket and dipstick o-rings. Then at 53K started leaking oil again. Same dealer stated on Saturday that they found a oil/coolant leak in waterpump area but cannot determine source of leak and need to bring it in to tear down to locate source of leak. The service writer called today and stated the shop foreman was working on my car and that the leak was coming from the main oil galley and was replacing a bolt and would test it on Friday.

Is this a case for lemon law or should I contact SOA and demand a new motor and an extension on my warranty.

Good luck. Lemon laws apply to new vehicles. Not sure what your states has for that.

first off if you call demanding anything, good luck. Your warranty is there for a reason, you bought a used car, you dont know the history. Its not Subaru's fault if the previous owner didnt maintain the car. And the problems sound like they were created by the dealer from the first repair.

When it comes to a used car: caveat emptor
