Default 2006 Legacy 3.0R Spec B / GPS swap

I apologize if this has been asked before.
To clarify a few things, I just picked this car up and I am trying to get my double din radio into it.

Title is the car, and I live in Japan, so it is RHD etc etc.

Anyways.

The car comes with GPS stock, but we (my wife and I) don't like it...
So instead of paying ¥27,000 I was thinking, what if I replace the GPS with my radio instead...

I tried searching but my Google-fu is pretty weak...

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

You'll find more information and people better able to answer on the forums at legacygt.com

When you post there, include a little more information -- the model number on your factory radio (usually printed above the CD slot), picture of the stock GPS (is that in the upper area -- where there would be a storage cubby in most models that did not have navigation?). Say whether you're wanting to install the new stereo in place of the factory stereo or the upper area.

The radio is of no interest in this post.
I thought my statement was pretty clear in replacing the GPS with a double din.

I guess I will have to word it a little clearer.
