Default Unamuzedwrx 2015 Wrx Build thread Brembos/KNS Brakes/Stage 2/Clark Turner Tuned

Let me first start out with a huge thank you to Ken from www.knsbrakes.com. While some may think he only deals with brakes, that is not the case. I would highly recommend giving him a call or emailing for all your part needs. [email protected]

E85 pending my better judgement haha I know how you feel. Are you going to take before / after video of the ETS? I'm still trying to find someone in my area to show me their ETS. Im set on finding someone to trade ets for my corsa. Are you planning on doing a shifter bushing? What about wheel spacers and coilovers?

The Brembo's that MachV got done came out nice.

I'll try not to hack them up on install.

I'm 4 hours from you. I'll let you know how the ETS sounds. I will try to do some before and after sound shots. Who knows I may be up for a trade. I am doing a shifter bushing. I ordered this one from jamis33 on itsti.
SimpleJ recommendation Shifter bushing. I'm not sure on coilovers. I love the ride height and have to remind myself I drive this every day. I might do wheel spacers but I'm still undecided. I've looked at 15mm in the front and 20mm in the rear.

I trust you! Thanks for all the help and guidance over the past few months. I told myself I wasn't going to mod this one. You help me lie to myself.

I'm in the same boat about coilovers. Wheel spacers are on the list for sure, I have a local guy who can roll fenders for me if I need so that's cool. I have that same bushing I just installed it sunday. There's no lube required. Fits perfect and I'm very happy with it. A friend has the perrin one and there's no difference besides price. He's from Canada so it took almost 2 weeks to getbhere! Cool guy though very easy to get ahold of.

That's great to hear about the bushing. I almost forgot I ordered it till I saw it in my laptop bag. The shipping time was the same for me but for $12 I wasn't too worried about it. I believe it was Crispy who did spacers and you can tell a difference if you know what you are looking for. I'm still on the fence.

Thanks! I bought them from a member here. I loved the stock STI rims and got them for a great price. Win win for me.

Nothing major to report but I disabled the Seat Belt Chime.

Yes, I still wear my seatbelt.

Quick visit with Ken at KNS Brakes to discuss my brake install this weekend.

I must say I checked out the KillerB Jpipe while I was there. It's definitely manufacturered better than any jpipe I've seen. To be honest I may be selling my ETS downpipe as long as the killerb fits my ETS exhaust. Stay tuned for updates.

Stock KNS shop car... not for long

I really liked the killerb holy header I picked up for my 02 wrx, I would image the same quality of work and material goes into the J pipe - even though I haven't seen it in person (yet!). I've also purchased other killerb products since and know why they cost what they do - and to me its worth it. That's the J pipe I would buy to go on my 15wrx as I want to keep the car long time and want only the best stuff on it. Sounds like Ken is doing a lot more than just brakes lately! Keep us posted...

I haven't decided what I am going to do brake-related on my car yet, so I look forward to what you guys do this weekend, and your impressions afterward.

I'm not the best with a wrench so apparently im the gopher and picture taker. Ken is doing much more than brakes now. It's nice to see a vendor who has a brick and mortar shop and can still offer great prices.

I'll pm you this weekend. If the killerb fits it's yours. I'll give you a great deal.

In other news, this came in the mail today.

I know some say it's not needed yet but I had this on my 09 wrx and I loved it. If things work out tomorrow I will do a dyno basemap then post results for stage 2 afterwards.

Small teaser... spent all day with Ken at KNS.

His car and my car received much needed upgrades. We took tons of pictures and I will work on posting them tomorrow.

Do the 4/2 pot bolt right up to our cars as they did with previous years ? I see you still need the adapter for the rears.
