Default cheap front O2 sensor for 98 2.2, any suggestions?

Do the universal ones work worth a flip? Im not 100% sure its the O2 sensor, but obd2 says bad connection front O2, my fuel econ sucks, and it idles high when the car is moving. car has M/T.

Honestly I wouldn't use the universal. You really do get what you pay for. Am I telling you not to. No, just saying I wouldn't. Get a good quality, and you will be sure to get the right one, and over time you will definately be happier.

I recently bought new front and rear o2 sensor off ebay. They were decently priced and made by NTK, which makes alot of OEM sensors.

please, do not post if you don't know what you're talking about.

what code do you have?

i believe the front o2 sensor is a wideband a/f sensor(i know it is on my 2.5). these are a very common problem on the 98-01's. It will make your car run bad/hesitate, and possibly get bad gas mileage. Get one from the dealer, I believe that they are about $100. IMO, its not worth it to cheap out on an emissions related part.
