![]() Grimm speed has not tested it yet and the person who is hasnt told them the answer yet. My question to you is will the grimm speed ewg work with the turboxs downpipe? I dont want to order it and have to buy a whole new exhaust. But thats what will happen if it doesnt fit. So does anyone know?

Not to my knowledge, but I`d wait to see the test results! |

![]() If the Grimm Speed EWG setup doesn't clear your TXS downpipe try putting a torch to it and bang the downpipe a tad. That's of coarse if A. It doesn't fit or B. You don't want to spend the extra money on a new downpipe. I've seen it done before on a Ultimate racing external setup and the hammering to the TXS Downpipe didn't effect the flow one bit. Still made 390whp on a FP Green.

![]() Which txs dp do you have. The big 4" bell mouth? They have 2 different dp's. One that is designed for ewg (which tapers to 3" alot sooner) and then the monster 4" From what I have researched and checked out, P & L's ewg kit is the only one tested and designed around the 4" bell mouth. Not that grimmspeeds won't work. I am currently in the same boat as too looking for an ewg up pipe solution.

![]() I believe that txs will swap out my dp if I want to for the smaller of the two so I can run an ewg prefabed up pipe instead of fabbing one up.

![]() Unless I go with P & L's ewg up pipe. So far they are the only ones that make an ewg up pipe for the big bell mouth.

![]() Got it installed. Here is what I've noticed. The dump tube seems to be out of the way of the axle. The wastegate is touching the DP ever so slightly, I'm talking like mayyybe 1/8 inch, which I'm thinking will be fine. I'm uploading some pics I took right now.

![]() edit. just saw your post.
so the grimmspeed ewg up pipe fits the giant 4" txs bellmouth..or at least mostly fits. we have some sneaky things coming soon that may make the wastegate not touch the down pipe at all..not even the ever so slightly that you have. loosen up those dump tube bolts and push the dump tube up a bit, hold it, then tighten down the bolts again. that may give you more room. Good. Glad you saw it. I was going to call you tomorrow and let you know. I am not worried about the wastegate. I'm just really glad it fit as good as it did, and that I didn't have to beat the DP any. Glad to hear you got some tricks up your sleeves. Hopefully this test fit will help your sales, it's an awesome product. I thought about wrapping the dump tube to keep the cv boot from melting. And maybe also putting a washer or two on the bottom bolt to kind of tilt the dump tube. I'll try your idea as well. |

![]() not trying to bash a great product, but is the dump tube laying ontop of the rubber cv boot a reason to be concerned. I feel like it would melt it, no?

![]() Yeah other then the dump tube routing and it looking like it hits the CV boot. I would be concerned about that. I have already rebuilt one CV boot and don't really feel like doing it again. Bluegrass thanks alot for the pics.

![]() Nice looking product though. For the two minor issue, easily fixable, I may need to look into getting this. Once again Grimmspeed comes out with another great product.

![]() i think because of the huge txs 4" downpipe pushing the wastegate down as far is it can go it is misaligning the dump tube. on a normal bellmouth this doesnt happen, you will have room all the way around the axel boot....just didnt want this example to mislead everyone that has normal 3" downpipes.
i'm just pumped you 4" txs dp guys have the option of running this now ![]() Justin |
