does anyone know if this will be alright or if I would have any problems?

2.5 forced inducted? Definitely do it. Well worth all the gains.

If its not there really isn't a need to go over 2.5". I think Sports Compact Car tested several exhausts (a long time ago), and the best gain was on a Stromung.
