I don't think it'd work because the 03 is MAP and the 99 is MAF. I'm considering trying to convert my 99 RS to MAP. I'll post if I end up trying it out.

Why not just swap the throttle bodies and run the 99 maf intake?

Swap the whole intake assembly over and the engine harness and then it should be a simple plug and play swap. I think the '03 has an egr pipe off the back of the drivers side head that you will not need in your '99RS. You should be able to find a pipe plug to seal up the hole. I went the other way, a rebuilt '01RS to '03 baja. I kept my '03 intake assembly and my heads as I needed the egr fitting. Also it doesn't make much of a difference but the pcv valves are different, you can either pull the fittings out of the block and swap them like I did or just change the hoses over for the pcv valves.

i think the ECU's might be alittle different because of the MAF and MAP.
