Default What are GC turbo guys using for hood scoop splitter?

Just curious what the most effective way is to get air from the scoop onto the intercooler. Does an aftermarket company make an adaptor for the gc hood to the EJ20G TMIC?

Where can I source a stock one at...I called EDO performance, and all Zero Sports *supposedly* makes is for 02+ turbo'd cars...so I can modify a WRX one to work, but If I am going to do that, I will just source a stock splitter....not baller factor needed here....baller on a budget It would be slick to find a stock JDM piece that will bolt right up and fit the intercooler properly from the start.

The ones for the gc8' go usually for around $100 used(Zerosports). Let me know if you want me to source you one.

I PM'd you, but it doesn't show in my sentbox. If it will fit on my EJ20G from a 95-96 WRX, I will take it.

^ Exactly. The old EJ20G's were mated with the old school 93-96 JDM hoods, which utilize a different scoop, and are a completely different style. I'm not sure if you would be able to even fit an OEM G splitter to a facelift (RS) hood. Can anyone shed some light on this?

^ I sure hope so (MY98 RS here), cause I bought a EJ20G splitter today.... I'd imagine redrilling some holes on the EJ20G splitter would help mate it up. I guess I will find out soon enough...

The scoop from the v1/2 hoods is shorter and wider. Not sure it will work.... but good luck! Let us know how it goes.

The Zerosports splitters were meant for the ver4-6 STI's which should fit our RS's here.
If you are running the earlier WRX hood scoops, then this option will not work for you.

The slanty intercooler is what went under the earlier smaller scoop hoods. I have a splitter for that with the holes for the sprayers if that is what you are looking for. But unless you are using the slanty intercooler, the splitter is worthless.

What about a splitter to use with a ver1/2 hood, but ver3/4 straight mount IC? Cause that's what I have...

I actually have a Zerosports splitter made for the v1/2 hood, came with sprayers.
