Question Upshift rattle at 2k/rpm?

I don't know if I'm being paranoid or not, but is anyone having a similar problem to this?

When I upshift my car from 2nd to 3rd gear when it's cold, I clutch in at around 2.5k/rpm. When I rev match for third gear, the tach is just under 2k/rpm, at about 1800rpm. When I accelerate from here, I get this strange rattling/buzzing noise from the front of my car.....

I was wondering if I am just upshifting too early and the sound is strain on my transmission, or is it something else?

I don't normally upshift that early, just when cold. Only when accelerating in the 1800-2000 rpm range do I get this sound. I can also duplicate the sound by running 4th gear at a low speed/rpm, but it mostly occurs in after upshifting to 3rd gear. Hmmm...

Default Going to the dealer

Started getting the same thing about 1800miles on the car this week. I've read about bad turbo bearings, and maybe a bent clutch plate but the clutch "feels" OK???. Leaving it at the dealer next Monday night to freeze it up for evaluation on Tuesday.

By the way what's the deal with these guys...You buy a car and they tell you you'll always have a loaner because you're such a great customer...then you call and they say they don't do that...you assert yourself....they concede....the endless cycle of BS.

I remember way back when in my party boy days I used to carry a card that stated my rights to Johnny Law with my lawyers name on the back(thank god I don't do that bs anymore)...but I am tempted to carry about the same document stating SEMA,SOA Warranty, etc. What I require in writing if denied, etc. right up front..Though it is my first warranty claim I feel if I might be going to court...Just an idea If I get hit with a barrage of BS...I'll let you know how I follow through if I hit a wall...

prematurely paranoid...."what exactly is the definition of spirited driving?"

Have Fun
