Default WTB: 2004 STI 6SPEED. 06 transmission broke.

yup.
it was finally my cars time to let my transmission die so this means i need to buy a new one..
if anyone can hook me up or point me in the right direction to finding an STi transmission that will mate up to my 06 5x100 wrx setup that'd be great...

also, i'm a small business owner that sells aftermarket parts, new, for just about anything import so to add to the offer i can hook someone up, who helps me with a good deal, with near wholesale prices on something they're looking for.
just trying to add an insentive.

but PLEASE, PM me any information regarding this.

thanks
- Nick.

Well that is my thread that Cyclops posted. I would possibly part things out if the tranny would sell. You are either going to have to change your ring and pinion in your rear end or switch rear ends.

The cheapest way would be to swap the ring and pinion. Second cheapest would be to get 04 hubs so you don't have to change wheels, but you will still have to use brembos in the rear because wrx calipers mount differently. Misterwaterfallin is interested in trading his 04 hubs for my 06's so you might be able to work something out there.

Too bad your tranny broke, you could have sold it and got back some of your money.

I can hook you up with a guy, he gets an STi or two every week, and might even have a setup in stock. Located in Portland, but he could ship too.

nick, if you want to keep your 5x100 set up, I would be willing to trade out the hubs from 06stiwagon's set up. I am just beginning to get all my parts together for my swap. but let me know if you would like to work something out. I'l toss a bit of cash your way as well if your willing
