New owner saying hi!
WRXers,
My wife and I just bought an '02 WRX and so far we love it! Kind of odd, my other car is a Honda Civic, slightly different driving experience (my Civic puts out a whopping 115 hp at the crank...). WRX is alot of fun and sticks to the road like nothing I've driven. Ok, I have to admit, "technically" it's my wife's car but hey, I drive it as much as she does (she knows how to have fun in her car as well though). Thought I'd say hi!

Welcome to NASIOC and the family.
FYI we bitch as much at each other as a family would as well; but in the end you usually get your info |

Heh, well, typically I ride one of my motorcycles (when I can) but she happily relinquishes the WRX if I really want to drive it. ATM thought I want her to drive it as much as possible...
What the previous owner did to it: Alloy lower control arms, HRE springs, Subaru Group N 4-pot front calipers with OE rotors, vented rear discs off of a Legacy Turbo, front strut bar and ARE Estrella wheels (to handle the larger brakes). No engine mods, no interior mods, etc. Still got some zip but he was more worried about cornering and braking than anything. Mayhaps engine mods will come in the future (my younger brother in law is a performance mechanic) but we'll see. |

Never heard of those wheels but everything else seems like you got a good deal.... it should always be brakes and suspension first, if you're going to modify the car.

I think it was a pretty good deal. Only had 44K miles on it and I got it for $13K.
