Default Nick -- We are going to lose the NASIOC wiki

Newer Edit:
Nick has started the NASIOC wiki - http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1494239

Edit:

The NASIOC article was deleted, but is up for review now. More importantly and mostly unrelated...Nick and others are discussing starting a NASIOC wiki to hold the vast amount of useful information located throughout the forums

See discussion starting here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...0#post21874360

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NASIOC

Comments on the deletion here:

Comments from the douchebag nominating the article:

there will be millions of internet owner's clubs but there are very few notable ones and this one is not. This is why I have nominated this for AfD. If you want to dispute this, why don't you go compare yourself to those who are financially able to support themselves as a business themselves like the Porsche Club of America, clubs like these are more better recognized than that one I will be nominating for AFD. I'm a member of the PCA and I much prefer NASIOC. It's far more of a car club than PCA! What a doorknob.

Someone needs to cite the Wicked Big Meet and B3D as examples of the same types of activities other car clubs take part in.

Is this one of those times when appropriately inflammatory and derogatory statements about overseas outsourcing are appropriate?

Notable means "worthy of being noted" or "attracting notice." It is not synonymous with "fame" or "importance." Please consider notable and demonstrable effects on culture, society, entertainment, athletics, economies, history, literature, science, or education. standards should not be used to create a bias favoring larger organizations.

What the **** is this piece of **** talking about?

Every time I've googled for information since I got my first Subaru, Nasioc threads were always dominating the front page results.

and he suggests the porche club, cause of money, thus violating the last line I bolded.

Default We are going to drop the NASIOC wikipedia thread First!

NASIOC: Articles for deletion/Wikipedia

I am attempting to place this as a thread, but the article creator user: RCIM got me thinking... i propose that: a wiki posing as a dictionary (wikipedia) 1) has been in existence since 2001, 2) has an unknown number of contributors, all of which wouldn't have to pay a penny to join, or back up their knowledge with references 3) it boasts of being the largest user edited dictionary, it will be. All in all I can't see why is this organization being anywhere notable. Samuel ogden (talk) 13:10, 2 April 2008 (Eastern)

not intended solely for the parotting... seriously. we're more accurate than they are... and feisty to boot!

Because everyone on the internet uses wiki like its God. Look at all the smarty threads here...they invariably go to wiki at some point in the thread.

Thus, they view themselves as some sort of quasi-diety.

Can anyone dig up news articles or things NASIOC/Nick have been involved in? It should take much evidence to meet their notability guidelines.
