Default Are there any websites that document Impreza engine swaps?

All the other cars I've researched, i.e. 240SX w/SR20DET, A2 GTi w/ 2.0L i-4, Civic w/B16, etc etc have websites with pics documenting all the steps involved in a swap. Are there any swaps for the GC8? Specifically the EJ20 (JDM WRX) and EJ22 (U.S. Legacy turbo)? Thanks.

Well that was a project for the this past weekend. GC8 2.5L conversion to a 2.0L WRX US engine on EddyRS's 2000 RS.

The easy stuff:
- Swaping the engines is pretty simple with a engine hoist of course. The WRX engine will fit into the engine bay of the RS with no problem. Getting the engine lines up with the tranny with the Turbo was the only tricky part but we got it on.

The hard stuff:
- Rewiring the NEW WRX ECU into the RS is a real pain. The whole wiring harness is such a mess on the WRX and GC8. There are a lot of similiarities but there are lots of little differences that need ot be accounted for. That is what is taking so long.

As for a website for this, maybe if we can get this doen we coudl document what was done. Don't know though, it isn't to easy to easy to convert it to a WRX with a GC8 body style.

we will have streaming video of such a swap (built EJ20 into 2000 RS) in the coming months, as we build Gerry's car.
